Scrum is a useful tool that provides the frame work for project management. It is iterative and incremental in nature. Scrum is also used in agile software development processes. The frame work was developed for managing the projects involving software development. However, it is equally helpful to oversee the software maintenance department or a general project. The name “scrum” was adapted from a term of the rugby game.
